“Novembre Numérique” 2025 stands as a major international initiative led by the Institut Français in Paris, committed to expanding public access to new technologies and fostering diversity, innovation and universal dialogue between creators and audiences worldwide.
Deployed across French embassies, art galleries, cultural centres, universities, shopping centres and historic venues, the programme is developed in close collaboration with the global network of the Alliance Française. This extensive framework positions digital creation at the heart of contemporary cultural exchange.
Within this global context, the work of Houda Bakkali was presented simultaneously in 15 cities across 9 countries, forming a unique constellation of interconnected exhibitions. This format redefines the versatility and universality of contemporary art, offering a shared yet plural experience that unfolds across borders.
Bakkali’s practice spans a broad and multidimensional artistic spectrum, from physical artworks to augmented reality, immersive installations to educational content, and from large-scale formats to intimate works, including animations, audio pieces, virtual galleries and video projections. Her work exists across platforms and dimensions, reflecting a contemporary vision of art as fluid, adaptive and inclusive.
While the same artworks are presented across all venues, each exhibition becomes a distinct and localized experience, shaped by audiences, cultures, generations and contexts, reaffirming core values of freedom, creativity and diversity.
Her exhibition Digital Art, Digital Culture exemplifies the power of digital art to transcend spatial, temporal and generational boundaries, creating meaningful synergies between audiences and positioning art as universal, accessible and intelligible.
Ultimately, the project frames art as a space of creativity, joy, diversity and cultural exchange one that moves beyond traditional limits to become a unifying force, capable of connecting, including and enduring in a rapidly evolving digital world.
This marks the second consecutive year that Houda Bakkali has been part of the Novembre Numérique programme, achieving remarkable international impact. To date, her work has been exhibited in 36 cities across 22 countries on five continents, through the Alliance Française network.
