Houda Bakkali will participate in the Month of Francophonie 2026, an international event celebrating Francophone cultures. Her work will be exhibited at various venues of the Alliance Française across different countries.
Bakkali’s artistic practice integrates physical art, augmented reality, animation, and interactivity. This combination invites audiences to experience and engage with each piece in a dynamic and sensory manner, expanding the boundaries of the canvas, redefining the exhibition space itself, and establishing a new form of communication with the public. The exhibitions will also be complemented by educational materials and workshops led by Bakkali on the impact of emerging technologies in the arts. These sessions aim to contextualize the applications and uses of new technologies within traditional artistic and cultural environments, while fostering dialogue on the relationship between art and technology as a means to inform, educate, and entertain.
As in previous exhibitions, these showcases will be experienced simultaneously in different countries, creating a creative axis that seeks to transcend temporal, generational, and spatial boundaries. Through art and technology, Bakkali’s initiative aspires to foster a universal, cross-disciplinary, and diverse dialogue, positioning art and culture as accessible, comprehensible, and inclusive goods.
“It is an honor to participate in an event that celebrates diversity, creativity, and friendship. It offers me the opportunity to share my work and creative vision with different communities around the world, to engage with their sensibilities, and to contribute to the ongoing debate surrounding the challenges and opportunities that technology presents for the ecosystem of art and culture,” Bakkali states.
These exhibitions, organized within the framework of Francophonie Month 2026, complement other Bakkali’s shows currently on display in various countries across the network of French Alliances.
