Alliance Française Abu Dhabi presents Digital Art, Digital Culture by Houda Bakkali
The Alliance Française Abu Dhabi presents Digital Art, Digital Culture, an exhibition by contemporary artist Houda Bakkali that examines the intersection of artistic practice, digital technologies and education within contemporary visual culture.
The exhibition brings together a curated selection of works alongside educational and interpretative content that contextualizes digital art, the creative process and the applications of emerging technologies in artistic production. The selection references cultural and artistic contexts such as France, Italy and Monaco, situating the works within a broader international framework.
Through the integration of physical artworks, digital media and immersive technologies, the exhibition explores the capacity of digital art to extend traditional exhibition models, facilitating access, learning and cultural exchange across diverse audiences. The project positions digital art as a tool for mediation, communication and knowledge dissemination, capable of operating across spatial, temporal and generational contexts.
The exhibition centers on the female figure and gaze, as a tribute to the artist’s mother. Through the use of intense colors, dynamic forms, and an intersection of illustration with voluptuous flowers, it seeks to convey a joyful, hopeful, and optimistic vision of life.
