Houda Bakkali exhibits “Digital Art, Digital Culture” at the Alliance Française Bahrain, as part of “Novembre Numérique” 2024, an international initiative led by the French Institute in Paris to promote access for all to new technologies, diversity and universal dialogue between creators and audiences.
This exhibition aims to illustrate the power of digital art to transcend spatial, temporal and generational boundaries, to create synergies between different audiences and to make art not only timeless, but also universal, accessible and understandable.
Bakkali’s artwork fuses printed pieces with animations immersive art and augmented reality. Her art represents a hopeful and successful future, fulfilled dreams through art, creativity, color, dynamism, flowers and the figure of woman, inspired by artist’s mother, as protagonists.

“Digital Art, Digital Culture” by Houda Bakkali has been exhibited in various public cultural spaces and at various Alliance Française around the world. Every exhibition is the same and every exhibition is completely different. The same artworks, but different formats, different spaces, different audiences, making art a universal good. “Art is art. Everywhere, everytime. Art speaks for itself and its challenge is to create something unique and timeless.” Says Bakkali.
This is the best example of the versatility of digital art. Its ability to share synergies with different audiences around the world without borders. Through physical art, augmented reality, multimedia and immersive content and virtual galleries, visitors can enjoy some of Bakkali’s masterpieces anywhere, anytime and learn about the tools, creative process, uses and values of digital art.

Bakkali’s exhibition in Al Riwaq Art Space will be part of a global project lead by Alliance Française Bahrain during “Digital November”, an immersive journey through new forms of digital expression and creativity, featuring: Bahrain’s rich history like never before through 3D scans of artifacts and augmented reality, in collaboration with the Louvre Museum, Tour of Digital November Exhibition & Workshops, a guided exploration of the installations, immersive exhibitions, and interactive workshops, a panel discussion: “Digital Innovation Applied to Art and Culture: Potential and New Prospects” with leading digital artists and experts; Virtual Reality Movies: Immerse yourself in three VR films on the environment and the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral and “Digital Art, Digital Culture” by Houda Bakkaliwhere audience can explore a colorful world of optimism and creativity in augmented reality paintings, among other activities, live performance, music spectacles and a night of cutting-edge digital art and music, as we celebrate the conclusion of this unforgettable exhibition.
