From September 28 to October 28, 2024, the Alliance Française Makassar presents the exhibition Digital Art, Digital Culture by Houda Bakkali.

The exhibition examines the capacity of digital art to extend traditional exhibition frameworks, facilitating access, learning and cultural exchange across diverse audiences, beyond spatial, temporal and generational boundaries.

The project brings together a selection of physical artworks integrated with digital media, including augmented reality and immersive content. These elements operate in a complementary manner, enabling new forms of interaction and interpretation while situating digital technologies as tools for cultural mediation and visual communication.

The exhibition incorporates educational vision that contextualize digital art practices, creative processes and the applications of emerging technologies within contemporary artistic production. This approach positions the exhibition as both an artistic presentation and a platform for learning and knowledge dissemination.

Presented within the cultural and educational framework of the Alliance Française Makassar, the exhibition highlights the adaptability and scalability of digital art practices across different geographic and institutional contexts, reinforcing the role of digital art as a medium for international cultural exchange and public engagement.
